is the knpv suit the only type of suit used in training a knpv dog or do you use other types first then graduate to this type of suit. also what is the reason behind using this suit instead of other suits. does using this suit create dogs with a pushing grip. I train with my dogs to counter by pputting pressure from both the helper and the handler but it does not seem the same.

Starting to bite with a young dog usally happens with a soft suite to create a good bite. The 'harder' knpv suite is the next step.
Using the KNPV suite in competition ore in examination is because a rule of the knpv.

is it on the soft suit that the dog learns a pushing grip or is this genetic. after the rag what do you use to get the dog to the suit. we use a puppy sleeve to intermediate to trial and then to a suit, but Ive been thinking that if i want to use my dog on the suit than why not go from a puppy sleeve and then into the suit what are your thoughts to this.

A pushing grip is genetics, but can be learned most dogs if you use the right techniques. A pulling grip is also genetics, but can also be learned to most dogs on technique.

Do you mean schh sleeves if you say intermediate and trial?
That's a way to go, another way is to use a (french) linen tug, soft puppy sleeve, a sleeve with more stuffing and than a french or belgium type of suit. Maybe for starters and (feeling) the grip on a trial suit (soft and thin) and if his grip is okay an intermediate or training style suit.

The KNPV suit here is used 'cause it is required by the rules, in training both KNPV style suit as french/belgium suit is used (at least at our club).

yes the intermediate and trial sleeves are for schutzhund. So the sleeve with stuffing this is a hard sleeve or is it soft and just thicker. also you are saying to use a trial suit and than to a knpv suit. do you want this suit to be close to the body for the dog to feel the helper or should it be a larger suit that the dog just bites the suit. alot of people here in america have suits that are very big and it teaches the dog to rip clothes instead of bite the man.

The trial french ring suit so the decoy can feel if the dogs grip is good. I know in the US the ticker kind of suit is more often used, but you can only judge a grip if you can feel and see it and the dog only feels he bites material instead of a man.

I caught a dog in on of them and really like both the mobility and the fact I could feel the dog a lot. By the way do you know what the currency rate between your euro and the american dollar is?
